³ Description

The sauce you buy has a lot of sugar and preservatives so may taste sweeter.

² Ingredients

  •  1 tablespoon Coconut Oil
  •  1 tsp, crumbled Bay Leaf
  •  1 pepper Red Hot Chili Peppers
  •  1 cup, chopped Serrano Pepper
  •  1/2 cup (8 fl oz) Water
  •  1 serving (serving = 1 tbsp) Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar
  •  1 tbsp Sea Salt
  •  1 serving (serving = 1 tsp) Trader Joe's Crushed Garlic

q Directions

Put 2 Serrano peppers in mason jar and stuff as many red chili peppers in jar as will fit (about 15). Place garlic and bay leaf and sea salt. Pour in Apple Cider Vinegar to half full, add water to almost top of jar and then top off w Apple Cider Vinegar. Place lid on and set aside in a cool place for 3 days. Then blend well and Sriracha is made. The sauce you buy has a lot of sugar and preservatives so may taste sweeter. Adjust to your liking by adding more Serrano for hotter, etc.
