Paleo recipe... meat for the crust, no dairy, no legumes, no grains
1 lb. ground beef
2 mild Italian sausages, casings removed
salt & pepper to taste
basil & oregano to taste
pinch of fennel seed
2 cloves garlic, minced
Mix meat, eggs, garlic and spices together in a bowl. Press into an 8 x 8-in pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350F.
Remove from oven.
While meat is cooking, prepare sauce:
1 large can (28 oz) ground tomatoes
2 tbsp olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp each basil and oregano
pepper & Italian seasoning to taste
Mix tomatoes, garlic, oil and spices together in a bowl. Spread on baked meatzza.
Dress as you would pizza... I used chopped spinach, diced onion, diced red pepper, chopped broccoli, fungus and bacon.
Bake an additional 15-20 minutes.
